Regular Season Round 8: Turku YMCA - DSN 76-87

There was no surprise when 42th ranked FinnishTurku YMCA (2-5) was defeated by fifth ranked Latvian DSN (5-3) 87-76 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by DSN. Turku YMCA managed to win third quarter 27-23 . But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. DSN made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. DSN outrebounded Turku YMCA 38-27 including 26 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of Arturs Melins (-2009) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and Rauls Mass (-2009) who added 18 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. DSN's coach let to play all 12 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Severi Jalonen responded with 23 points and 5 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and guard Kalle Metsaranta (180) scored 19 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). DSN maintains fifth position with 5-3 record. Turku YMCA lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the 45th place with five games lost.
